新加坡新品種蟑螂命名「費洛美螂」　只因外型長得跟《寶可夢》很像

最近有昆蟲學者在新加坡發現一種全新品種的蟑螂，由於被發現的蟑螂本人外型長的和《寶可夢》的費洛美螂有點像，因此命名時就使用了與該寶可夢相同的名字。

根據昆蟲學者表示，他認為這隻新品種蟑螂和《寶可夢》的費洛美螂有著相似之處，並且分享了這次發現新品種蟑螂的相關論文，也對自己能夠將新品種以《寶可夢》命名一事表示相當興奮，稱費洛美螂會是全球第八個以《寶可夢》來命名的新物種。

過去學術圈不乏出現幾個以《寶可夢》名稱來為新物種命名的案例，過去就有東新墨西哥大學的昆蟲學教授以三神鳥來為三個新發現的昆蟲命名，如今費洛美螂的發現，可以期待未來還有更多新物種有機會以《寶可夢》來命名。
